Welcome to Business 101

Here at Next Level Awareness Consulting, we focus on the bigger picture.

We find that the majority of businesses wind up in business by default. Meaning, a plumber decides he can make more money working for himself instead of working for a big company. So he starts building his own customer list. What usually happens though is that the plumber is a technician of plumbing. He has no formal business training, no management skills, no experience with bookkeeping or understanding marketing. This makes the plumber unorganized. Maybe he starts to lose customers because he doesn’t manage his calendar well, and misses scheduled appointments. This can also lead to losing repeat customers because there’s no follow up system in place to make sure the customer remembers what great service they got the first time.

What is your biggest struggle? Getting new clients? What is your marketing strategy? How often do you use social media? Maybe it’s hiring the right people that want to work? Let’s create a great culture where employees can thrive and want to learn how to be better at what they do. They may also need some rewards for things to keep them engaged.

Whether you intended to have a big business or a small business, one of the most important choices is whether or not you want to manage the business or allow the business to manage you. If you’re focused on only being a technician, your business will manage you, dictate the hours you work, eventually breaking you down because there’s no structure.
